I started this company because I love dogs and want them to be as healthy and happy as doggedly possible.
It all began with my dog Zoe, who was terribly allergic to numerous proteins. So, I began my search for treats and food that wouldn't irritate her skin and tummy. And as I learned more, I also discovered many products shipped in from overseas were harmful to dogs. I wanted to do something about this, too.
I made it my commitment to creating treats that offer a diversity of unique proteins with USA-sourced human-grade ingredients produced in the United States in USDA Inspected facilities.
These treats are so safe that I eat them myself. Except for the carp eyeballs... It's a texture thing. And an eyeball thing. But dogs love 'em.
Our products are thoughtfully crafted using novel or unique proteins that are sustainable (our Super Fly products are made from black soldier fly larvae) as well as turning disaster into delicious by utilizing invasive species (our Asian Carp products.) Our philosophy of doing good by the pet, the Earth, and our community flows into everything we do and every treat, food, and chew we create. That is not just a slogan; it is our way of life here at Scout & Zoe's.
