Bub ‘n Mutha’s is a veteran-owned, gourmet dry rub company with a Maine attitude and a mission. Why would anyone think that Maine could produce anything BBQ? Let me break it all down for you.
GOURMET – Bub ‘n Mutha’s blends 100% natural spices with no preservatives. We are the only BBQ company in America using real Maine ingredients from real Maine companies to create BBQ flavors, the likes of which you’ve never tasted. Not only have each of our two flavors won back-to-back awards at The International Flavor Awards, but we also sponsor 2 competition cook teams who have had several top 10 finishes in 2021. The biggest difference comes down to one word – SALT! We use salt here for flavor, not filler, to make our bottles heavier or our rubs cheaper. Some of our competition uses up to 1/3 of the bottle just for salt.
ATTITUDE – Up here in Maine, we hate buying products that only have one use. While we did our best to come up with 2 specific flavors that could be used on anything that used to have fur, fins, or feathers, our customers and fans went well beyond.
They have sent pictures, recipes and postings using our rubs on everything from avocado toast to fried zucchini! We even supply a restaurant using our DownEaast Dinnah Dust (pronounced DINN-uh) for Bloody Marys and our Honey ‘n Heat for margaritas!
Lastly, THE MISSION – As a veteran-owned company, we are driven to continue growing by producing an excellent product. As we grow, our goal is to hire area Veterans for full-time positions helping us make more rubs. In addition, every bottle you order results in $1 being donated to Veteran Charities.
