The SOTU Address and Trump's Response
President Biden Delivered The State of the Union Address but Failed to Mention Several Key Pieces of Information - Like Rising Crime and the Border Crisis - so Trump Stepped Up in Response.
Biden recently gave the nation his scripted State of the Union speech to America and the rest of the world. As expected, he took credit for every perceived positive going on in America and spun it like a major Democrat led victory.
But it was all pure lip service.
For example, Biden took credit for spending reductions and job increases. However, it's clear that both positives were more a result of the end of the pandemic than they were the result of effective Democrat policies.
He also paid lip service to the law enforcement community and how difficult the profession is. But he quickly moved past that but then failed to discuss how his administration will handle the nationwide crime surge. He did suggest, however, for a call for more social workers.
Other issues he completely brushed over are the issues that Americans want to see solved. These "kitchen-table" issues are among the most important to everyday Americans like the border crisis and the uncontrollable inflation. Americans across the nation are feeling the squeeze on their wallets each time they visit the supermarket.
In fact, a majority of Americans still feel the nation is heading in the wrong direction.
Donald Trump's Response
Trump responded to Biden's SOTU speech and delivered a "real State of the Union" address which was posted on NEWSMAX. In it, he called out Biden's failures and shortcomings, and he pulled no punches. In fact, it was a breath of fresh air to hear all about the real issues facing Americans instead of listening to Biden pat himself on the back.
Trump focused on several key issues; the drug problem, the border, inflation, liberal indoctrination - all that could lead America to World War III.
"And, on top of all that, he's the most corrupt president in American history, and it's not even close," Trump said. He continued, "But the good news is we're going to reverse every single crisis, calamity, and disaster that Joe Biden has created."
Trump paid special attention to how the Biden administration is weaponizing the justice system to go after political opponents.
"Joe Biden's Justice Department - and I'm a victim of it - is persecuting his political opponents." He continued, "His administration is waging war on free speech."
Trump then addressed the elephant in the room. He said, "Here's the real State of the Union, over the past two years under Biden, millions and millions of illegal aliens from 160 different countries have stormed across our southern border."
And he's exactly right.
Trump pulled no punches and covered every topic impacting America. But the good news is, he has a solution for all of it - starting with a presidential run in 2024.
